Good Times In Salt Lake City

Standard

We’ve had a lot of changes in the past few months, but it was great to come back home to Utah to hangout with friends and family over the holiday break… and boy were we busy! We attended 2 birthdays (3 if you count Panda’s), 5 family holiday events, 2 holiday parties with friends, several lunches and dinners with friend and family, and at least 7 trips to REI to prepare for our trip. And can you believe Dan still got all of his work done!?

I’m so thankful for have such amazing friends and a very loving and supportive family. Can’t wait for our new adventure and I’ll see you all soon!

Check out a few highlights below!

The Easter Egg Hunt

Standard
Dan and I took a quick trip to Ohio this weekend to visit my family. I was a little worried it might rain but the weather was perfect. On Saturday I went with my brother and nephew on an egg hunt that was more like race but, the kids seemed to enjoy it. Then we went home and jumped on the trampoline, flew a kite, and went for a run. After a long day of play we enjoyed a delicious meal prepared by my Dad. I even tried to help him with my new cooking skills, but I think he still wants to be the king of the kitchen. Even though the trip was short and sweet, it was great to see the family again!

Meeting Baby Grace

Standard
Last weekend I was lucky enough to visit my Salt Lake City family and friends. I was especially excited to meet my new niece, Baby Grace, and see her blessing. Check out the pictures below from my trip.

Christmas ’09

Standard
Christmas Eve in Naperville was a picturesque postcard. The earth was covered in six inches of snow and the trees were glazed in ice. This year our Christmas tree was covered in several years worth of my Nutcracker ornaments. (Thanks for hanging onto them Mom & Dad!) The Dogs, Dan, and I stayed warm with a fire in our new cottage. Although we were far from family and friends, we had a quiet and lovely Christmas… or as Dan calls it “Festivus.”
